The White Background theme (which, notably, has a number of background bits that are not at all white) was made as part of my MFA thesis work at RISD. Graphic Design on a White Background — dot com — is my dedicated thesis website.

This is the home for the White Background Tumblr theme. It's not as mimimal as its older sibling, and maybe yeah ok the background is not technically white, really. Such are the contradictory realities of thesis work, indeed!

This is a tumblelog: a reverse-chronologic stream of loosely organized media scraps. It is hosted and ministered to by Tumblr, who also furnish this site's RSS feed and archives. The design is a template called White Background, which was written by Alexander "Fish" Bohn for use on Circular Logic, a part of his MFA thesis in graphic design. White Background, itself, is a descendant of the White Space theme, which is originally by Heather Rivers. Both themes are licensed with CC BY-NC-SA 3.0.
